I used to run same oil pan. If your using the stick dipstick and tube you will not get an accurate reading even if the car on a level surface. It's a K&N filter, HP-2006. I use it because of the nut on the bottom, makes life a lot easier! Not sure about the valve. I think I'll take it out soon and get it all the way warmed up, then see what it looks like the next morning. I can probably figure this out just by taking some notes each time I...

Thanks for the insight. Pretty sure it is the Milodon 7 quart pan, engine is a 505 with 87 cc edelbrock heads. The heads are pretty old but I seem to recall looking into the drainback deal and convincing myself that mine were built after the drainback issue was resolved. I'm not sure whether I am us...

Ok, I will kick off the fun. Wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this: I changed the oil in my car a few months ago, maybe 500 miles on it since then. The dipstick is marked and the oil was filled exactly to the line where I marked it, and it was like that for three or four outing...
